Oh my, oh my. I cannot wait for this wedding! It is just a little over a month away and I am already excited.

We went out to the family ranch to take Nicole and Clay's engagement pictures a few weeks ago. It was just gorgeous. Of course, 15 minutes into our shoot, it poured down rain so we ran inside the barn for the rest of the shoot!

We had a blast! What an adorable couple...

Wow! We have had a great little summer respite, but we are ready to jump back on board with all of the beautiful photo shoots we have scheduled for the fall.

On our break we did squeeze in a couple of shoots! One of which was the Oliver family!

Sometimes we walk away with far more of an impact from them and their lives than our photos could ever leave for them.

You know 'em, you love 'em...

These little cuties have graced our blog on several occasions. Every single time we have shot them they have been great! So fun!

I know they thought we were crazy for taking them out in the middle of nowhere for these pictures, but I have to say that I love how the bokeh looks from all the yucca in the background- very cool!

Up first, Little Miss McKinley...who had to carry on the tradition of getting her picture taken in a bass drum. Very cool idea.

I totally stress out about our son's birthday parties (the two that he has had!). I am so busy trying to keep up with the guest, the food, and the kiddo...let alone stop to take pictures.

We welcomed our little girl into our home 3 short weeks ago today.

Thank you for all of the thoughts, prayers and support!

We just wanted to share a few pictures from Miss Ileigh's first photo shoot; I am sure there will be many more to come! She was one week old when these were taken.

This is her announcement...they were sent in the mail today, so we can officially share them.

Really, the coolest thing about us is our family...

They live up in Indianapolis where Scotty is a very well known morning DJ. It was awesome that they could both come down for Christmas.

Again, I want to ask forgiveness for my blogging hiatus.

With the craziness of wrapping up our final photo shoots and Christmas I decided to make blogging take the back burner for awhile. While I have a bit of time to spare, I want to post a very select few of our favorites from our shoots this month. For the next few posts I am limiting it down to my favorite seven shots- super hard to do, but these families already have their CDs and so it is really just for benefit of us, not them that we even post their pictures! ;)

We love this family. Love them. Kristen and Chris use to work together and James officiated our wedding. We are forever in their debt. :)

We were super excited to meet with them for a little family shoot earlier this month. Here are a few of my favorites...

Meet the Carter Family...

These kiddos were troopers!

We met up with them the first week of December and I still remember how stinkn' cold it was! Crazy cold!

We were still able to get a few smiles out of them though...

The Armstrong Family!

Now, please forgive me. I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus.

We met up with the Armstrong family the first weekend of December for their littlest tikes one-year photo shoot. We have shot this family many times before, so we knew exactly what kind of cuteness we were walking into!

We consider it a huge compliment when we are asked to shoot other photographers and their family. We were super excited when Carol McKinney contacted us and asked to set up a family session with us.

We had a great time; Carol is a doll and her house was amazing!

We were so excited to head to one of our favorite venues, Uncommon Twists to meet up with Tracy and her family last week. Tracy's brother, Tony was in town from Illinois so it was the perfect time to get pictures of their three kiddos together!

Another Pirtle Clan...

We were super excited to take the morning and head to Lubbock for a quick photo shoot with Chris's brother, Derek and his little family. We love the venues to choose from in Lubbock. It just so happened that we passed by this awesome yellow garage while scoping out our options that morning. What a great color/texture! So fun!
